Celebrating outstanding bespoke kitchen design, innovative craftsmanship and exceptional installation across three distinctive projects.
Point 5 Kitchens is delighted to announce three shortlist nominations at the KBBFocus Awards 2026. This recognition celebrates our commitment to luxury bespoke kitchen design, precision manufacturing and exceptional craftsmanship.
Each nominated project tells a different story. From an artistic apartment in St John’s Wood to a vibrant family kitchen in Muswell Hill, our designs celebrate individuality.
Moreover, these nominations recognise our ability to combine creative ideas with practical solutions. Every kitchen reflects the lifestyle, personality and architectural character of its owners.
Our three shortlisted categories are:
- Kitchen Design of the Year Under £40,000 – Material Dialogue
- Kitchen Design of the Year Over £40,000 – Sculpted Kitchen
- Installed Project of the Year – Crafted For Joy
We are incredibly proud of this achievement and the dedication of everyone involved.
Material Dialogue: Kitchen Design of the Year Under £40,000
A Sculptural Bespoke Kitchen in St John’s Wood
Material Dialogue reimagines traditional kitchen design within an extraordinary apartment in St John’s Wood.
The property features dramatic double-height proportions and an interior reminiscent of an art gallery. Consequently, the kitchen needed to complement its architectural surroundings rather than compete with them.
With the homeowner working as a sculptural artist, every design decision required careful consideration.
A striking full-height Patagonia quartzite splashback forms the centrepiece. Its expressive natural pattern introduces movement, texture and visual depth.
Rather than covering the stone with conventional cabinets, our team developed a bespoke antique brass shelving structure. This supports 2.6 metres of bronze-tinted glass shelving while preserving the quartzite’s beauty.
Meanwhile, cabinetry finished in RAL 7048 creates a calm and cohesive backdrop. The subtle colour allows the contrasting materials to remain the focus.
Curved open shelving softens the furniture’s geometry. In addition, carefully positioned shadow gaps create the impression of floating stone surfaces.
Together, these details transform a challenging space beneath a mezzanine into an elegant, welcoming kitchen.
Most importantly, the project achieves remarkable individuality within a product investment of under £40,000.

Sculpted Kitchen: Kitchen Design of the Year Over £40,000
Super-Luxury Kitchen Design with Double Award Recognition
§combines dramatic materials, innovative engineering and exceptional bespoke craftsmanship.
The clients envisioned a sophisticated interior inspired by the world’s finest luxury hotels. However, they also wanted a welcoming family home that supported everyday living and entertaining.
Our design balances these ambitions through a carefully selected material palette.
Natural Calacatta Viola marble introduces dramatic movement, while rich oak veneers create warmth. Bespoke liquid metal gold finishes provide a striking contrast.
At the centre sits an extraordinary island featuring a curved, floating natural stone back. Achieving its sculptural appearance required specialist engineering and precision manufacturing.
Furthermore, integrated LED lighting follows the island’s curves, enhancing its architectural character.
The kitchen also features a dedicated breakfast station and a beautifully crafted home bar. As a result, the space supports both relaxed family routines and larger social gatherings.
Sculpted Kitchen has received two prestigious award nominations in 2026.
Alongside its KBBFocus shortlist, the project is a Designerati Awards 2026 finalist for Super Luxe Kitchen Designer of the Year.
This double recognition celebrates the creativity, innovation and technical expertise behind an exceptional bespoke interior.

Crafted For Joy: Installed Project of the Year
A Bespoke Kitchen Designed Around Family Life in Muswell Hill
Crafted For Joy celebrates the emotional connection between a beautifully designed kitchen and the people who use it.
Created for a retired couple in Muswell Hill, the project began with a deeply personal ambition.
The clients wanted a kitchen that would bring their family together and celebrate their love of nature. Above all, they wanted a space that made them smile every morning.
Our response combines expressive colour, natural materials and carefully considered functionality.
A striking teal island creates the centrepiece, shifting subtly between blue and green as daylight changes. Meanwhile, curved fluted panels soften its proportions and introduce architectural texture.
The island features an extraordinary Explosion Green natural quartzite worktop. Its dramatic pattern reflects the clients’ love of nature and gives the kitchen a distinctive personality.
Additionally, a bespoke pull-out table provides a comfortable space for everyday activities. Integrated storage and concealed cable management ensure the feature remains practical.
Throughout the kitchen, carefully planned storage makes daily routines easier. Fluted glass cabinetry, illuminated breakfast storage and a dedicated drinks cabinet add further individuality.
However, the installation presented several unexpected technical challenges.
Structural steelwork proved larger than anticipated and threatened to disrupt the original design. Instead, our team transformed the column into an architectural feature with integrated display opportunities.
Further challenges required specialist engineering and careful on-site coordination. These included additional support beneath the island worktop and adjustments to the extractor ducting.
Consequently, the finished kitchen demonstrates the importance of technical expertise alongside creative design.
Today, Crafted For Joy has become the social heart of the home. Its success reflects our commitment to creating kitchens that genuinely enhance everyday life.
