The best way to maximise small kitchen design in North London without compromising on design integrity.

When planning a small kitchen space, intentional design is the key to a space that feels both functional and purposeful. The most effective small kitchen design focuses on three key areas:

  • Smart layout planning
  • Maximised storage
  • Space-enhancing design choices

A well designed small kitchen can feel just as functional as a large one, if not more. You don’t necessarily need to sacrifice on design intention in order to save on space. Quirks, intricacies and existing parameters are what makes a space unique, and It’s important to work with the character of the space. Great, yet small spaces don’t attempt to cram all the components of a large kitchen into a restricted space, rather they treat the project as its own unique entity to figure out the best design response.

Bespoke Cabinetry For Small Kitchens

When planning a small space, standard sized cabinetry can often limit the space. Set cabinet dimensions can prevent you from taking full advantage of the storage available. By opting for bespoke cabinetry, it allows freedom for creative and space saving solutions.

Standard units often waste space. Bespoke cabinetry allows you to:

  • Use full ceiling height
  • Fit into awkward corners
  • Customise internal storage

This is especially useful in older North London properties where layouts are rarely standard. Bespoke cabinetry allows you to work to any dimensions, taking full advantage of any spaces that may be lost or overlooked. Period properties can particularly benefit from bespoke cabinetry as they weren’t necessarily designed in line with modern living. Bespoke cabinetry can allow the space to feel contemporary whilst still maintaining all the natural charm and character.

How to Maximise Storage in a Small Kitchen in North London

When it comes to designing within a smaller or restricted space, storage becomes a premium. Ensuring your small kitchen design meets all your requirements requires clever planning and maximising all space available to you. In a small kitchen design appliances can often take the majority of the available space, so maximising storage is a key design principle when designing a small kitchen space.

Effective solutions include:

## Small Kitchen Design North London Tips from Experts

* Use light colours to create a sense of personal style. Light colours can make a space feel larger and brighter, especially if natural light is limited.

* Minimise visual clutter. Integrated appliances and smart storage solutions can help keep the space feeling tranquil and spacious.

* Invest in high-quality cabinetry. Small kitchen designs significantly benefit from bespoke design, allowing you to create a space that not only reflects you, but maximizes all available space and stands the test of time.

* Prioritise layout over aesthetics alone. When planning a small space there will always be compromise. Sticking to one aesthetic may limit the ideas that might best suit the space.

We couldn’t be happier with our lovely kitchen from Point 5. Wojtek was extremely helpful from start to finish. He listened to us carefully and took time to understand our needs and likes and was very tolerant of our indecision. He came up with some lovely design features that we had not seen elsewhere and now couldn’t imagine our kitchen without such as a countertop sliding cupboard for all our teas and coffees. He did not overwhelm us with too many choices as happened elsewhere and made some inspired suggestions for a colour scheme which we love and which has been much admired. He never once gave us the hard sell, instead he always made a point of showing us the cheaper options as well the pricier. The units are custom made in Poland, so it usually takes at least 10 weeks between ordering and delivery. We were working to a budget so wasted some time looking for cheaper options but could not find anything matching the quality and style but as a result were a little slow in making our decision. However, Wojtek and the team did their utmost to fit into our builder’s schedule and supplied and fitted the kitchen in record time. The after care has been exemplary when we needed some adjustments that I have to admit were down to us not listening to good advice. I highly recommend this company.

An excellent experience from start to finish. Their design process was professional and collaborative, resulting in a kitchen and dressing room that look great and work perfectly for our space. Communication was clear throughout, and the after-sales service has been responsive and helpful, which we really appreciated. Three years on and we're still happy. Manuel, Tomasz and the Point 5 team are a pleasure to work with and we would not hesitate to recommend them.

I have never had such a good experience with any company! Point 5 Kitchens is on another level. About 4 years ago, they made for me a full kitchen, bathroom cabinets, wardrobes, and bespoke cupboards. The quality is outstanding – everything is solid, beautifully made, and still looks like new today. The furniture feels very special, elegant, and of the highest standard. It is clear that the materials and craftsmanship are first-class, and the result is something unique and long-lasting. What I really like is not only the excellent quality, but also their service. They listen carefully, give helpful advice, and make sure every detail is perfect. Recently I asked them to adjust a cupboard door. They came the very next day and fixed it straight away – fast, friendly, and professional. It is rare to find a company that offers such exceptional quality, reliability, and care for customers. Point 5 Kitchens goes above and beyond, and I can honestly recommend them to anyone who wants beautiful, high-end furniture and a company they can truly trust.
