At Point 5 Kitchens, we specialise in luxury kitchen design, combining bespoke craftsmanship, premium materials, and intelligent planning to create exceptional living spaces. This project in Queen’s Park, NW6 shows our approach to luxury kitchen design in London. The result is a bespoke space that looks stunning and works perfectly for modern family life.
Located in the heart of Queen’s Park on Milman Road, this remarkable kitchen was designed to become the focal point of the home. Every detail was carefully considered to create a luxurious environment that seamlessly blends innovative design, advanced technology, and handcrafted furniture.
A Truly Bespoke Kitchen Designed Around the Client
The client came to Point 5 Kitchens for a fully bespoke kitchen. She wanted a design that reflected her style and met specific needs. Her brief included statement cabinetry with beading, a breakfast table, and a coffee station. She also wanted a hidden bar, a large pantry, and a layout that encouraged family time.
As with many luxury kitchen projects, achieving perfection required careful refinement. Following twelve design revisions and extensive collaboration with the client, every element was meticulously planned and tailored to ensure the final result exceeded expectations.
Bespoke Brushed Oak Cabinetry with Exceptional Detailing
The defining feature of this luxury kitchen is undoubtedly the bespoke dark grey cabinetry.
To achieve a truly unique appearance, we used our signature Brushed Oak veneer. The oak veneer was carefully brushed to enhance the natural grain structure, creating texture, depth, and visual interest throughout the room.
What makes these doors particularly special is the bespoke double-beading detail. This decorative feature continues seamlessly around the door edges, creating a level of refinement rarely seen in contemporary kitchen design. Once completed, the cabinetry was finished in an elegant dark grey paint, resulting in a sophisticated and highly original aesthetic that perfectly balances modern luxury with timeless character.
As a bespoke kitchen company, we make every door to order. This approach gives complete freedom in design.

Elegant Fluted Glass Wall Units
The wall cabinetry introduces another layer of sophistication through the use of bespoke 20mm aluminium-framed doors with fluted glass panels.
Black hinges and vertical lighting enhance both function and style. The lighting highlights the contents and adds warmth. We mitred the lower sections to create recessed handles. This keeps the lines clean and modern.
The combination of fluted glass, subtle lighting, and dark grey cabinetry adds depth and richness while reinforcing the luxurious feel of the space.
The Statement Island with Integrated Breakfast Table
At the centre of this luxury kitchen design sits a striking island that serves as both a practical workspace and a social hub.
Attached to the island is a bespoke drop-down breakfast table, which has quickly become the client’s favourite place to gather with family and friends. Designed to encourage interaction and everyday living, the table transforms the island into the heart of the home.
For maximum durability, we selected Egger Melamine for the island’s rear panels and breakfast table. Its warm timber appearance complements the dark cabinetry beautifully while providing excellent resistance to daily wear and tear.

Premium Porcelain Worktops with Waterfall Detailing
The island is topped with a stunning 12mm Atlas Plan Calacatta Delicato Silk porcelain worktop.
Chosen for its exceptional durability, heat resistance, and luxurious marble-inspired appearance, the surface delivers both beauty and performance. Expertly mitred edges create a dramatic waterfall effect on the island, adding a sense of architectural elegance and reinforcing the premium nature of the design.
The subtle veining of Calacatta Delicato Silk perfectly balances the darker cabinetry, bringing light and sophistication to the space.
Hidden Pocket Door Systems for Seamless Living
Luxury often lies in thoughtful details.
To maintain the clean, uncluttered appearance of the kitchen, we incorporated two bespoke pocket-door units. One conceals a fully equipped coffee station, while the other hides a dedicated bar area.
These innovative storage solutions allow the client to enjoy all the functionality of specialised preparation zones while preserving the minimalist aesthetic of the overall design. When closed, the kitchen remains beautifully streamlined and effortlessly elegant.

Ergonomic Design for Modern Family Living
Beyond aesthetics, the kitchen was carefully planned to optimise workflow and functionality.
We placed key appliances close together to improve workflow. This layout makes cooking easier and faster. We positioned secondary storage away from the main zone. This reduces clutter and keeps the space organised.
The overall layout places family interaction at the centre of the design, with the island and integrated table naturally encouraging conversation, dining, and shared experiences.
Advanced Kitchen Technology and Premium Appliances
This luxury kitchen incorporates some of the most respected appliance brands in the industry, combining performance, innovation, and smart technology.
The specification includes:
- Siemens cooking appliances with smartphone app control
- Siemens integrated dishwasher
- Tall Liebherr fridge and freezer
- Caple wine cooler
- Elica free-hanging island extractor
- Quooker boiling water tap
- Siemens Combination induction and gas hobs
- Blanco sinks and waste disposal system
- Clearwater main sink
The sculptural Elica island extractor serves as both a functional appliance and an architectural feature, enhancing the visual impact of the space while providing powerful extraction performance.
